Dear me,
“Dear me”, is the theme for the Special Open Art category for the Country Fair in 2009. (Potholes last year)
You are invited to enter a work containing a message – an artwork ‘open letter’ in any art-form, presenting what you think are the defining issues for our district at this time.
‘Post’ your message by entering your artwork in the Special Open Category at the Country Fair and share your feelings about where you are, the past, and possible futures.
The ‘correspondence’ theme was suggested by the inventiveness and individuality of our rural district roadside mailboxes, by the Bibliobox (a travelling archive boxed exhibition from Europe) that will be displayed at the Country Fair, and the current postcode question.
The selected winner of the Dear me, category, will have their work, together with documentation of the Country Fair, included in the Bibliobox when it returns to Europe in December, and subsequently toured internationally.
